Ingredients

  • 2 cups self-rising flour or make your own with 2 cups all-purpose flour, 3 tsp baking powder, and ½ tsp salt
  • 2 cups Greek yogurt
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • Olive oil for brushing
  • ½ cup pizza sauce or more as needed
  • 1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese or cheese of choice
  • Pepperoni slices as needed
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Red pepper flakes for sprinkling
  • Fresh basil chopped, for garnish

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking pan with parchment paper.
  • In a large mixing bowl, add the self-rising flour. Make a well in the center.
  • Add Greek yogurt, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, and salt to the well.
  • Mix until combined, forming a dough. Knead the dough for a few minutes until smooth.
  • Divide the dough into 16 small balls.
  • Roll out each ball thinly. Use a heart-shaped cookie cutter or a knife to cut out heart shapes.
  • Transfer the heart-shaped dough pieces onto the prepared baking pan.
  • Lightly brush each piece with olive oil.
  • Top each heart with a thin layer of pizza sauce, cheese, pepperoni, and any other desired toppings.
  • Bake for 15–20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the edges are golden.
  • Remove from the oven and sprinkle with red pepper flakes, grated Parmesan, and fresh basil.
