Add the 4 cups of cereal to a food processor until fine crumbs form. Add the crumbs to a bowl and stir in the melted butter to combine. Add the crumbs to an 8-inch pie dish, spread them evenly around, and flatten.
Add to the freezer for 10 minutes. Add the pudding mix and milk to a large bowl, whisking until thoroughly combined. Add only 1 cup of the whipped topping to the pudding. Stir once more to combine.
Add the pudding mixture onto the pie crust and smooth it out evenly. Add the remaining whipped topping to the pudding mixture. Crush up the 2 cups of cereal and sprinkle on top. Add the caramel to a small zip-lock bag, cut off the tip, and drizzle it all over the top.
Place the pie in the fridge for at least 2 hours, or overnight. Slice and enjoy!
Notes
Tips, Tricks & Storage
Chill Properly: For best results, give the pie enough time in the fridge — at least a couple of hours or overnight if you can. It helps the layers set and the flavors settle.
Maintain crunch when serving: Right before serving, add any extra cereal on top to keep the crunch crisp. If you add it too early, it may soften.
Storage: Cover the pie and refrigerate it for up to 2–3 days. After that, the cereal may soften and lose its edge. If you need to freeze it, wrap it carefully and freeze for up to 1 month — thaw in the refrigerator before serving.
