Step 1: Add the base ingredients - Place the beef, sliced onion, mushrooms, and minced garlic into the slow cooker. This is where everything starts building flavor right from the beginning.
Step 2: Add the sauce ingredients - Pour in the cream of mushroom soup and beef broth. Add the Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Give everything a good stir so the beef is well coated.
Step 3: Slow cook until tender - Cover and cook on low for 6 to 8 hours or on high for 3 to 4 hours. You’ll know it’s ready when the beef is fork tender and smells incredible.
Step 4: Make it creamy - About 20 minutes before serving, stir in the softened cream cheese and sour cream. Stir gently until the sauce becomes smooth and creamy.
Step 5: Add the noodles - Add the cooked egg noodles to the slow cooker and stir until they’re fully coated in the sauce.
Step 6: Serve and enjoy - Spoon into bowls, sprinkle with fresh parsley if you like, and serve warm to very happy people.
